Aptitude: Diagrams - Pie Chart Problems Tricks

Usually in most of the Competitive exams the Pie charts shows information either in Degrees or in Percentages.

Type 1: Percentage Type

The following figure shows spending of a family on various items. If the total income of the family is 75,000 and no amount was saved. 

Find the Following:

1. Amount spent on Travel
2. Amount spent on Education and Food
3. Difference between the amount spent on Rent and Food
4. Difference between the total amount of Travel and rent together and food.

In case of the above example, the total value is 75000

Type 2: Degree Type

The following figure shows spending of a family on various items. If the total income of the family is 75,000 and no amount was saved. 

Find the Following:

• Amount spent on Travel
• Amount spent on Education
• Amount of Savings
• Difference between the amount spent on Savings and Food
• Difference between the total amount of Travel and Savings together and food.
