1.ISRO to launch Hyperspectral Imaging Satellite.
Indian Space research Organisation has planning
to launch full-fledged niche Earth observation (EO) satellite called the
Hyperspectral Imaging Satellite (HySIS). HySIS which captures images across the
electromagnetic spectrum, beyond the wavelength that the human eye can
recognise.
For this ISRO has developed the new chip called “optical
imaging detector array” which would be tested and perfected.
2.India
Observes 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement
India
observed 75th Anniversary
of the Quit India Movement which was launched by Mahatma Gandhi to seek an end to
British rule in India on 8th August 1942.
3.Union
Government took steps to improve Salt Farming Industry.
Union Government has taken steps to improve Salt
Farming Industry in India. Government has plan to educate the Salt
manufacturer, to improve the quality, to meet the international standards and
also to compete in global market also training for skill upgradation.
For this Government has established Model salt
farms at Markanam in Tamil Nadu, Nawa in Rajasthan and Ganjam in Odisha.
4.Renewed excavation at Azhagankulam site traced
to sangam era.
Tamil Nadu state government Archeological
department has renewed excavation Azhagankulam
site belongs to Sangam Era.
Azhagankulam site located in bank of Vaigai river
near Madurai, more than 12,000 artefacts are found till date.
5.Wayde van Niekerk wins 400 m IAAF worlds
athletic championship
Wayde van Niekerk From South Africa has won Men’s
400 M running in IAAF World Athletic Championship held in London, UK.
