Tamil Nadu is improving in sanitation as per latest health survey

• According to the latest national health survey , around 52.2% of household have imporved sanitation facilities in Tamil Nadu.
• Last survey which shown 22.4% improved sanitation and now it is 52.2%, overall Tamil Nadu shows 29.8 % improvement in this area. Only Kanya kumari and Chennai has 80% of household have improved sanitation and Ariyalur is the worst performing district in Tamil Nadu.
• The top 3 states are Kerala with 98.1%, Sikkim with 88.2%, Mizoram with 83.5% have improved sanitation. The worst performing states are Jharkand with 24.4%, Bihar with 25.2%, Odisha with 29.4 %.
