1.Nobel Prize in medicine or
physiology 2017
The 2017 Nobel Prize in Medicine has
been awarded jointly to Jeffrey C. Hall, Michael Rosbash and Michael W. Young
"for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian
rhythm or 24 hour body clock".
2.2017 - Nobel Prize in Physics.
The 2017Nobel prize in Physics has been awarded one half to Rainer Weiss, and
the other half jointly to Barry C.Barish and Kip S. Thorne "for decisive contributions to the
LIGO detector and the observation of gravitational waves"
3.President Appoints Commission to Examine Sub Categorization of OBC.
President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Commission to Examine Sub Categorization of other Backward classes under the power conferred by Article 340.
It will ensure more backwards among OBC Communities to get more benefits of reservation for education and Government Jobs.
The commission comprise of Chairperson – Justice (retired) G.Rohini and 4 other members.
4.Soumya Swaminathan appointed WHO
deputy Director General.
Dr Soumya
Swaminathan, director general of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has appointed as the deputy
director-general, World Health Organization (WHO), in Geneva.
This is the
second-highest position at the United Nation’s health agency. She is a daughter
of Dr MS Swaminathan, who is known as the father of green revolution in India.
5.India to ink $4.5 billion Line of credit
deal with Bangladesh.
India to sign $4.5 billion line of
credit deal with Bangladesh to be spent on infrastructure and social sector Development.
6.WEF’s India summit kicked off
The World Economic Forum’s 33rd
India Summit has been kick off today with the theme on “Creating Indian Narratives
on Global Challenges”
7.Scorpene Submarine khanderi begins
sea trials
The Second Scorpene Submarine
Khanderi has begun its sea trials which is expected to commissioned into Indian
Navy within this year.
8.Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017
to be Held in Hyderabad.
The 2017 Global
Entrepreneurship Summit, which will be held from Nov 28-30 at the Hyderabad
International Convention Centre in Hyderabad, India.
9.PM lays foundation stone for AIIMS
at Bilaspur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has
lays foundation stone for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), at
Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
