1.Observation confirms merger of two neutron star

In August 2017 LIGO and VIRGO has jointly detect merger of two neutron Stars which cause the discovery of new source of Gravitational radiation. After few seconds NASA’s Fermi Satellite detected a gamma-ray burst from the same direction which was located about 130 million years away.  It was revealed by Scientist now.

2.Project CHAMAN to be completed by Mar 2018 . 

Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh has said that project CHAMAN to be completed by 2018. Project CHAMAN aimed to provide strategic development to the horticulture sector, which will help to increase the formers income.

This project is implemented by Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Centre (MNCFC) using remote sensing technology.

3.Indo-Russia Joint Exercise INDRA-2017 from Oct 19

The first ever tri services joint exercise between India, Russia INDRA-2017 will start form October 19 at Eastern Military District of Russia

Previous Nine exercise, it has been conducted by single service exercise, this is the first time all the three services (Navy, Army, Air Force) is involving.

The exercise will help to boost the mutual confidence, inter-operability and sharing the best practices between India and Russia’s armed forces.

INDRA Stands for IND-India and RA-Russia; it is an bi-annual military exercise conducting since 2003.

               

4.Nirmala Sitharaman Commissions INS kiltan ASW stealth corvette. 

Indian Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has commissioned INS Kiltan ASW Stealth Covette into the Indian Navy.

INS Kiltan is the latest indigenous warship to join the Indian Navy after Shivalik class, Kolkata class and sister ships INS Kamorta and INS Kadmatt .

   

5.World Food India 2017 Expo

World Food India 2017 expo to be held in New Delhi from 3^rd November to 5^th November.

6.Tejas jets to get radars from French.

Light Combat Aircraft Tejas jets to get Radar from French defence firm Thales. It has developed active array radar to equip 80 Tejas Mk1A Light Combat Aircraft for Indian Air Force.

7.NIIF gets frist investor from Abu dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authhority became the first Investor in the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund’s (NIIF) with value of $ 1 Billion.
