Nath Kovind has appointed
Devendra Kumar Joshi as new Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
1.Divergence
of water vapours one of the
reasons for 2014 Drought- Scientist
Scientist form the Department of
Meteorology and Oceanography at Andhra University has found that Divergence of
Water vapours was one of the reasons for 2014 Drought.
Earlier in 2014 India faced 12% rain
deficit in June which caused drought.
2.3rd Edition of 'Women
of India Organic Festival'.
The 3rd Edition of “Women
of India Organic Festival” has been inaugurated at Dilli Haat, New Delhi with
the theme of “Good for Women; Good for India; Good for You”.
The main objective of the festival
is to promote women entrepreneurs and farmers in the organic sector across the
country.
3.Drop in
Tamil Nadu’s Infant mortality rate .
Tamil Nadu has shown significant
improvement in declining Infant mortality rate (IMR) , it has dropped two point
with 17 comparing to last survey period of 19 per 1000 live births in 2015.
Overall
India has registers decline in IMR by 3 points from 37 per 1000 live births in
2015 to 34 per 1000 live births in 2016.
4.Banwarilal
purohit is new governor of Tamil Nadu.
Union
Government has appointed Banwarilal Purohit as new Governor of Tamil Nadu. He
will be replacing acting
governor C. Vidyasagar Rao.
5.Devendra
Kumar Joshi is new Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
6.R. K. Mishra
is new DG, SSB
Rajni Kant
Mishra is taken charge as new Director
General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) succeeding Archana Ramasundaram.
