peace prize 2017
The 2017
Nobel Peace prize has been
awarded to International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) for
its work towards drawing attention on disastrous consequence of any use of
nuclear weapons and efforts to achieve treaty based prohibition of nuclear
weapons.
2.Ministry of Tourism Launched “
Paryatan Parv”
Ministry of Tourism has launched 20
days “PAryatan PArv” programmes across the nation from 5th to 25
October. The Aim of Paryatan Parv programme is drawing attention on the
benefits of tourism, showcasing the cultural diversity of the nation and highlighting
the principle of “Tourism for All”.

India-EU Summit held in New Delhi
The 14th
India and European Union Joint annual Summit held in New Delhi. Prime Minister
Narendra Modi has represented India and Mr. Donald Tusk, president of the European
Council and Mr.Jean Claude Juncker, President of the European commission has
represented European Union .
4.India to conduct the First ‘BIMSTEC
Disaster Management Exercise- 2017’
India to conduct the first annual BIMSTEC
Disaster Management Exercise -2017, It was decided at the 17th
BIMSTEC Senior official meeting held in Kathmandu Nepal.
BIMSTEC DMEx-2017(‘BIMSTEC
Disaster Management Exercise- 2017’ ) will be conducted by National Disaster Response force (NDRF) for
October 10-13 with the focus on to test the Inter-Governmental Coordination
efforts, Creating efforts to establish regional cooperation on disaster
response among BIMSTEC nations.
5.National Green Tribunal gives nod for Marine Police Station.
The Southern Bench of National Green Tribunal has given its nod for constructing Marine Police Station in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu.
