1.MoU b/w India,Belarus for Cooperation in the
field of Vocational Education and Training
Union Cabinet has given its ex-post
facto approval for Memorandum of understanding between India, Belarus for
Cooperation in the field of vocational Education and training. This is the
first time India is signing MoU in the field of vocational Education and
training and skill development with Eurasian Country.
2.SANKALP & STRIVE Schemes to
boost Skill India Mission
Indian Government has approved two
new scheme SANKALP (Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood
Promotion) & STRIVE (Skill Strengthening for Industrial Value Enhancement
(STRIVE) to boos Skill India Mission.
The two new scheme SANKALP was sponsored
by central government with Rs 4,455 crore , supported by World Bank with 3,300
crore loan and STRIVE is Rs 2,200 crore sponser by Central Government , other
halp loan from World Bank.
SANKALP and STRIVE will give support
to enhance the Government’s implementation strategy in vocational education and
training from inputs to results.
3.IALA to change its status from NGO to IGO from NGO
Union cabinet has approved International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) to change its status to IGO ( Inter-Governmental Organization ) from NGO (Non-Governmental Organization ).
4.5th Global Conference on Cyber
Space, New Delhi.
India will be hosting the Fifth
Global Conference on Cyber Space in New Delhi on 23rd and 24th
November.It wil be one of the world’s largest conference on Cyber Space and
related issues.
5.Anupam Kher appointed as Chairman, FTII
Anupam Kher has been appointed as
new chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).FTII is an autonomous
institute under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting located at Pune, Maharashtra.
6.India’s first Sewage Treatment Plant
under Hybrid Annuity Mode in Haridwar and Varanasi.

Ganga under National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG)
