1.Tamil Nadu will take over keezhadi excavation.

Tamil Nadu government has announced that it will take over Keezhadi Excavation. Tamil Nadu Archaeology Department got approval from Central Advisory Board for Archaeology to carry out further excavations at Keezhadi.

It said that it will dig deep to bring out the evidence of urban civilisation existed in ancient Tamil Nadu

2.Annual Dilli Seminar at INA Ezhimala. 

4^th annual Dilli Seminar to be inaugurated by Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala on 12^th and 13^th Oct 2017 with current year theme of India and Southeast Asia – Maritime Trade, Expedition and Civilisation Linkages’.

The Aim of  the seminar is to educate on elements and issues of maritime history and heritage of the country to the young officers and cadets .

3.Home Minister inaugurates the First BIMSTEC Disaster Management Exercise 

Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the First Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation Disaster Management Exercise (BIMSTEC DMEx-2017)

More About BIMSTEC DMEx-2017(‘BIMSTEC Disaster Management Exercise- 2017’ ) will be conducted by National Disaster Response force (NDRF) for October 10-13 with the focus on to test the Inter-Governmental Coordination efforts, Creating efforts to establish regional cooperation on disaster response among BIMSTEC nations.

4.Central Government Informed high court on status of Transgender persons bill. 

Central Government has informed that Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment had submitted its report on Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill of 2016 and the report was under consideration to Madras High Court.
