1.The Kilogram set to get new measure in 2019. 

Since 1875 Kilogramme is defined as the mass of a metal cylinder (made of 90% platinum and 10% iridium) in a locked vault in basement of the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM), Paris. The cylinder is known as Le Grande K and officially as “the International Prototype Kilogram,” or IPK

The scientist from around the world made a careful measurement and found that their masses are diverging for around 50 micrograms or 50 parts per million. Having a standard of mass that changes is unacceptable. The kilogram is the last of the base SI Units is still be defined by a physical object.

In 2011, The General conference on weights and measures decided to redefine the kilogramme based on Planck’s constant. 

2.TN CM lays foundation stone of Aerospace Park near Oragadam, 

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami  has laid the foundation stone for Aerospace Park near Oragadam, Kanchipuram dist, Tamil Nadu.

3.First Jurassic-era ‘fish lizard’ fossil  found in Kutch Gujarat. 

Fossil of Jurassic era ichthyosaur a type of marine reptile or fish lizard has been discovered for the first time in India, near Kutch district of Gujarat.

4.Singapore now has the world’s most powerful passport 

Singaporeans has now the world’s most powerful passport , which they can travel 159 countries without visas or can have on arrival visas. Germany ranked second, Sweden and south korea in third position while India is in 75^th position 

5.Karnataka Celebrates 60th anniversary of VidhanaSoudha

Karnataka legislature celebrates its 60^th Anniversary of VidhanaSoudha. President Ram Nath Kovind will participate in the event to mark 60 years .
