1.TN to create District Level Wetland Management Committee. 
Tamil Nadu Government has announced that it will create District level Wetland Management Committee for management and conservation of wetland in each districts of Tamil Nadu.

It consists of 11 members, District collector will be chairperson and District Forest office would be the member Secretary.

Tamil Nadu State Wetland Authority will guide and monitor these District committees.


2.Around 2.5 Million deaths occur in India due to Pollution. 
A Study Published in the Journal The Lancet, around 2.5 Million people died in India Due to various kinds of Pollution. It is more than the death occurs due to Smoking, hunger, and Natural disasters

One in Six of all deaths occur are caused by pollution worldwide. It occurs more in developing countries like India, China, Bangladesh. It is because most of the manufacturing, mining industries are shifted to developing countries where getting environmental clearance easily because of their lack of regulation and enforcement.

  

3.Indra -2017 Opening Ceremony 
Opening Ceremony of First ever tri services joint exercise between India and Russia INDRA-2017 has been held at Vladivostok, Russia


4."Sakthi" boy from Tiruvannamalai nominated for Children’s peace prize. 
The seventh Class School boy Sakhthi  hails from Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu has nominated for Children’s Peace prize for advocating importance of education to his Narikuravar community.


5.Solicitor General  Ranjith Kumar resign. 
Ranjith Kumar has resigned as Solicitor General Of India. Solicitor General is the second raking law officer of the Indian Government.

6.LDB services to be extended to all major ports 
The Logistics Data Bank’s (LDB) services to be extended to all major ports in India with the objective to ensure efficiency in logistics sector.
