1.China Urges India to Join BRI
China has urged India to Join the
Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and shed objection on China Pakistan Economic Corridor
(CPEC).
China has reiterating that China
Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an economic cooperation and connectivity
project, it will not target any third party and doesn’t involve any territorial
disputes.
Earlier in May India has boycotted
the China’s Belt and Road initiative, objecting to the China Pakistan Economic
Corridor which lay through disputed territory.
2.Chennai has become part of UNESCO’s
list of creative cities.
Chennai has been included in UNESCO’s
list of creative cities list for its rich musical tradition. As of now a total
of 64 cities from 44 countries joined in UNESCO’s creative cities list. Chennai
now become the third Indian City after Jaipur and Varanasi
3.India’s 2nd
Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) Established at Chennai
Government
of India’s Department of Industrial policy and promotion (DIPP) has signed a agreement to establish Technology
and Innovation Support Center (TISC) at the Centre for Intellectual Property
Rights (CIPR), Anna University, Chennai.
It is establishing
under the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) TISC program. This
is the second centre in India
set up by WIPO
4.Typhoon Damrey kills more than 100
in Vietnam.
Typhoon Damery has killed more than
100 people in Vietnam. This could be a deadliest storm of Vietnam this year.
5.Mary Kom wins Gold in Asian Championships
Mary Kom wins gold in Asian Boxing
Championships 2017 in the light weight category by beating North Korea’s Kim
Hyang Mi.
This is Mary Kom’s 5th
Gold in Asian Championships
6.Iker Casillas wins 2017 golden foot award.
Iker Casillas, Spain international football
