1.Parliament passes Companies amendment Act 2017 . 

Rajya Sabha has passed the Companies Amendment Billl 2017 by voice vote, this bill has already got passed in Lokh Sabha in July. It is now waiting for President assent to become Law.

The Amendment which intend to strengthen corporate governance standards, initiate strict action against defaulting companies and help improve ease of doing business.

2.Southern Command to conduct HAMESHA VIJAYEE Exercise in Rajasthan. 

Southern Command  of Indian Army is planning to conduct “HAMESHA VIJAYEE” Exercise in Rajastan from 16 to 22^nd December which will evaluate the capability of armed forces to strike deep in enemy territory in integrated air –land battle.

3.Lok Sabha passes the Central Road Fund Amendment Bill 

Lok Sabha has passed the Central Road Fund Amendment Bill 2017, as per the amendment the cess levied and collected on high speed petrol and diesel is distributed for developing rural roads, , national highways, railways, state roads and border area roads.

  

4.National Programme on use of Space Technology for Agriculture 

The new programme called National Programme on use of Space Technology for Agriculture (NPSTA) is proposed by Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare for using space and Geospatial tools for Mapping, Monitoring and Management of Agriculture.

This proposed programme contains Crop Assessment & Monitoring; Agricultural Resources Management; Disaster Monitoring and Mitigation and Satellite Communication and Navigation Applications.

5.Losar Festival celebrated in Ladakh to mark New Year. 

Losar Festival Celebrated in Ladakh ,Jammu and Kashmir  to mark the beginning of the New Year.
