1.Professor Hiroshi Marui conferred with ICCR Distinguished Indologist award. 

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the 3rd ICCR Distinguished Indologist Award on Professor Hiroshi Marui of Japan for his exemplary contribution to Indology. He has spent almost 40 years working on Indian Philosophy and Buddhist studies and published many research papers.

2.N K Singh Appointed as 15^th Finance Commission Chairman.

 Government of India has appointed N K Singh as Chairman of 15^th Finance Commission under Article 280(1) of Indian Constitution which will recommend the distribution of taxes or funds between centre and states
