1.Important
schemes for development of women and children
Some Important Scheme for Development of Women and Children by Women and Child Development Ministry are
Schemes For Women
- Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP)- about declining Child Sex Ratio and empowerment of women .
- Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) - providing cash health and nutrition to pregnant and nursing mothers.
- Pradhan Mantri Mahila Shakti Kendra – involving student volunteers to empower rural women.
- National Creche Scheme – providing day care for children of working women
- Rastriya Mahila Kosh (RMK)- providing micro credit for poor women to enhance their livelihood.
- Swadhar Greh – provides relief and rehabilitation for poor and women in distress
- Ujjawala,- is the scheme for prevention of trafficking and for rescue, rehabilitation, re-integration and repatriation of victims of trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation.
Schemes For Children
- Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)- implement with the aim to development of children upto 6 years of age and to provide nutritional needs of pregnant and lactating woman.
- Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS)- giving safe and secure environment for overall development of rural and urban children
- National Nutrition Mission (NNM)- the mission will aim to reduce the level of stunting, under-nutrition, anaemia and low birth weight babies. It will be commencing from 2017-2018.
2.Government roll out 7.75 % taxable
savings bonds.
Central Government has introduced
7.75 % savings bonds which is taxable for citizen. It has no monetary limit and
also bond has exemption from Wealth Tax act 1957. It will replace the 8% bond
introduced in 2003.
3.India to get P-8I long range
maritime patrol aircraft and electronic warfare systems.
Defence ministry has given its
approval for procuring P-8I long range maritime patrol aircraft for Navy and
electronic warfare systems for army with the cost of Rs 2420 crore
4.R Selvaraj New Chief for Teachers
recruitment board.
