IAAMS At INS Garuda

• Integrated Automatic Aviation Meteorological Systems (IAAMS) has been inaugurated At INS Garuda ,Kochi Kerala.
• This is the fourth air station installed with IAAMS systems.
• It is an ambitious project of Navy to modernise meteorological infrastructure of 9 Naval Air Station.
• It is fitted with state-of-the-art Meteorological Sensors including Radar Vertical Wind Profiler, Transmissometer, Ceilometer and Automatic Weather Observation System which wil help to predict accurate weather forecasting.
• First IAAMS installed in INS Rajali (Arakonam, Tamil Nadu) in March 2017, second in INS Parundu (Uchipuli, Ramanathapuram,Tamil Nadu) in August 2017,
