1.Sex Ratio at birth Dips. 

• Sex Ratio at birth dips in 17 big states, as per the ‘Healthy States, Progressive India’ report released by Niti Ayog.
• Gujarat tops the list which recorded 53 point dip from 907 female birth to 854 Female.
• Gujarat is followed by Haryana 35 points, Rajasthan with 32 points and Punjab registered a rise of 19 points followed by Uttar Pradesh, Bihar. 

2.DTAA signed with Iran. 

India and Iran has signed an agreement for Avoidance of Double Taxation (DTAA) and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to taxes on income.

3.Theatre Olympics 

• Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the 8th international Theatre Olympics 2018 at Red Fort in New Delhi.
• He also releases Festival Logo “Flag of Friendship”.
• The Theatre Olympics established in 1993 at Delphi, Greece, it is an international Theatre festival which brings theatre practitioner’s around the world.
• It is an initiative of Greek theatre director Theodoros Terzopoulos.

4.Mahamastakabhisheka 2018 

• Mahamastakabhisheka  ceremony at Shravanabelagoal begins in Hassan District ,Karnataka after 12 years.
• Mahamastakabhisheka is also known as Mahakumbh of Jain, it held once in 12 years.
• Gommateshwara Bahubali statue at Shravanabelagola is one of the important tirthas in Jainism also an important pilgrimage destination.
• Chandragupta Mauryua has believed to be died in this place

5.National research Center for  Banana. 

• Indian Council of Agricultural Research has confirmed that it will not merge or downgrade National Research Center for Banana with any institute.
• National Research Centre for Banana situated at Podavar in Tiruchi, Tamil Nadu. 

6.Canada PM Justin Trudeau . 

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reached India for one week tour.

7.Auroville 

• Auroville to celebrate its golden jubilee on Feb 28’2018.
• It was founded by Mirra Alfassa in 1968 at Villupuram district with some part in Puducherry.

 8.ICAI new president 

ND Gupta elected as New President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

9.Sandeep kumar 

Sandeep Kumar  wins 50 km Walk completion at the fifth National race walking championships.

10.Priyanka Patel 

Priyanka Patel wins Women’s under -20  10km category at National Race Walking Championship and also shattered the national record in race walking
