1.Electoral
Bearer Bond Scheme
- Union government has notified the Electoral Bearer Bond Scheme 2018.
- As per this scheme , the bonds can be purchased by person who is citizen of India or incorporated or established in India.
- Electoral Bonds can buy either singly or jointly with any other individual.
- State Bank of India is authorised to issue and encash Electoral Bonds in its 4 authorised Branches.
- The First issue will start from 1st March 2018.
2.Super
critical carbon di oxide Brayton test loop facility.
- Union Minister Harsh Vardhan has inaugurated Super critical Caron di oxide Brayton test loop facility at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru
- It helps to generate clean energy from future power plants including solar thermal, it reduces the water consumption and with less emissions of Greenhouse gas.
- It will be efficient alternative to conventional steam-based power plants.
- Currently Thermal Power plants use steam to carry heat and turn a turbine to generate power.
- The Supercritical Co2 is denser than steam which helps to generate more power in less .
3.Prithvi – II
Missile.
- India Successfully tested First Night trial nuclear-capable short-range ballistic missile Prithvi-II from Abdul kalam Island, Odisha
- It is surface to surface missile has the capacity to strike 350km
4.Jaipur’s
Gandhinagar railway station
Jaipur’s
Gandhinagar Railway Station becomes the first non-suburban station to operate
fully by women.
5.Cyclone Gita
- India offers $1 Million to country Tonga for recovery from Cyclone Gita.
- Cyclone Gita originated in South Pacific
6.Cryptocurrency
– PETRO.
Venezuela becomes
the first country to officially launch its own crypto currency named PETRO.
