Tamil Nadu Budget 2018 Highlights

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam presented 2018-19 budget in Tamil Nadu State Assembly.

This is the first budget of Tamil Nadu after implementing GST.

Key highlights of Budget.

• Total Revenue receipts estimated at Rs 1,76,251 crore including Central Transfers in period 2018-19.
• TN state own tax revenue is estimated at Rs 98,963 crore which expect to grow at rs 1,12,616 crore.
• Revenue Expenditure is estimated ar Rs 1,93,742 crore in 2018-19.
• Fiscal Deficit of Gross State Domestic product (GSDP) is estimated at 2.79% in 2018-19.
• GSDP growth rate is 8.03 % in  2017-18.
• There was a flood management plan has been prepared and submitted to Central Government for North and South Chennai at an estimate of Rs 2,055 crore.
• Allocation of Rs 786 crore to State Disaster Response fund.
