1.SUVIDHA.

• Union Government announced to launch 100 % Oxo-biodegradable Sanitary Napkin named SUVIDHA under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP).
• It aims to provide cheap , affordable, hygienic , easy to use and disposal to the underprivelleged women in India.
• SUVIDHA Napkins will be available for Rs 2.50.
• The main feature of this napkin is it will become biodegradable once it reacts with oxygen after it is used and discarded.

2.Nari Shakti Puraskar 2017 

• Indian President Ram Nath Kovind presented Nari Shakti Puraskar award to 30 eminent women individuals and 9 institutions on the occasion of International Women’s Day. 
• Nari Shakti Puraskar award given  to recognise their efforts in rendering distinguished services to women, especially vulnerable and marginalized women

3.Udyam Sakhi Portal 

Union government has launched the Udayam Sakhi portal for Women Entrepreneurs to empower women and make them self-reliant and self-sufficient.

4.Neiphiu Rio 

Neiphiu Rio of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party has taken charge as Nagaland’s new Chief Minister.

5.Minerva wins I-league Title. 

Minerva Punjab Foot ball Club wins maiden I-League football title
