1.World Heritage Site 

Six monuments/historical sites of North Eastern state has been identified for listing under World Heritage Site

• Apatani Cultural Landscape from Arunachal Pradesh
• Iconic Saree Weaving Clusters of India
• Moidams – the Mound – Burial System of the Ahom Dynasty from Assam
• Namdapha National Park from Arunachal Pradesh
• River Island of Majuli in midstream of Brahmaputra River in Assam
• Thembang Fortified Village from Arunachal Pradesh 

2.Fimbristylis agasthyamalaensis: 

• Scientist has discovered new plant species in Western Ghats called Fimbristylis agasthyamalaensis
• This is belongs to Cyperaceae family and many of this family are medicinal plants. 

3.Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas 

• Ministry of Human Resource development has proposed for extension of Kastuba Gandhi Balika Viyalayas (KGBVs) up to 12th standard.
• KGBVs are residential school for girls belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Minority and Below poverty line and it is operational in Educationally Backward Blocks.
• It aims to reduce the gender gap at elementary education. 

4.Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan 

Ministry of Human Resource Development has launched a Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan to encourage children to learn Science & Mathematics.

5.India’s Fastest Train

• India’s Fastest Train Gatimaan Express Extended up to Bundelkhand Region.
• It runs from Delhi to Jhansi of Uttar Pradesh, it is now extended to Bundelkhand region to Boost Tourism.
