1.DefExpo 2018 

• The 10^th Edition of DefExpo begins at Thiruvidanthai, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu which helps to showcase India’s defence manufacturing to the world.
• The main theme of 2018 edition is to showcase India as a major hub for defence production in world. 

2.Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Certificates of Competency of Seafarers 

• India and Republic of Korea has signed an Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Recognition of Certificates of Competency of Seafarers at Busan, South Korea.
• This Agreement helps both the government to mutually recognize the the certificates of  maritime education and training, competency, endorsements and medical fitness of seafarers issued by each other- as per official release (source Pib). 

3.OVL’s Farzad-B gas 

Iran Government has agreed to take the gas produced from Farzad-B gas field discovered by ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) in the Persian Gulf.

4.World Homoeopathy Day

World Homoeopathy day celebrated across the world on April – 10 to pay tribute to the founder and father of Homoeopathy Dr. Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann. 

5.India’s first high-speed electric locomotive

• Indian Railways is set to induct India’s first high speed electric locomotive with the speed of 12,000 Horsepower.
• It will be flagged off from Bihar’s Madhepura loco Factory.
• India will join with elite list of countries including Russia, China, Germany and Sweden having 12,000 HP and above capacity electric locomotives.

 6.11th World Hindi Conference 

Union Government has said that 11^th World Hindi Conference to be held in Mauritius.

7.Happy Cities summit 2018 

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated a three-day long 'Happy Cities Summit 2018' in Amaravati , Andhra Pradesh with the vision to make city happiest in India.
