1.Price Support System. 

• Central Government’s Price Support System (PSS) under National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) has been extended to the pulse-Growing farmers of Tamil Nadu.
• NAFED will directly purchase the pulses from farmers when the Market price is lower than the minimum support price (MSP) provided by Government.
• For example- if the market price is Rs 42 and the MSP is Rs 50 then the PSS will directly purchase the pulses from Farmers to reduce their loses.

2.Third revenue division for Tiruvannamalai. 

• A Third Revenue division with Arni as headquarters has been inaugurated in Tiruvannamalai District.
• Tiruvannamalai and Cheyyar are the other 2 revenue divisions.
• The Third Revenue Division which includes Arni, Polur, Kalasapakkam  and Jamunamarathur taluk.

3.Ayushman Bharat inagurated 

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Health and Wellness centre to mark the launch of central Government’s Ayushman Bharat, in Bijapur Chhattisgarh.
• The Main aim of Ayushman Bharat is to connect people with network of health and wellness centres to deliver primary healthcare and also covering with Insurance.

4.Sea Turtle Navigation. 

Recent study reveals that Sea Turtles use Earth’s magnetic fields for navigate back to the place where they hatched.

5.BSF’s Janbaaz bikers breaks record 

• Border Security Force’s Janbaaz bikers has set a new record for carrying 36 jawans on three bullet motorcyles for a kilometre in 55.52 seconds.
• It has broken the record kept by Indian Army.
