1.Shrimp feed technology- CIBA 

• The Eco-Friendly Shrimp feed technology programme has been signed between the Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA) and  Waterbase Ltd 
• CIBA is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, it is one of the research institute constituted under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi

2.April 19: World Liver Day. 

• World Liver Day has been observed on April 19 across the world to spread awareness about liver related disease.  
• The Theme of 2018 is “Riding New Waves in Liver Diagnosis, Staging & Treatment” 

3.India – 6^th largest economy. 

• India becomes 6^th largest economy displacing France as per latest report International Monetary Fund’s World Economic Outlook (WEO).
• India’s Gross domestic product is now $2.6 trilllion.
• The top five economies ahead of India are United States, China, Japan, Germany and United Kingdom.  

4.Malaria Summit. 

• Malaria summit held in London with the aim to highlight stalled progress in fighting against malaria, which is showing signs of fighting back.
• India not participated in the summit despite India is affected by third largest malaria cases after Congo and Nigeria in the world. 

5.Golden Peacock National Training Award 2018. 

Indian Bank has awarded with Golden Peacock National Training Award 2018. 

6.NASA’s TESS 

NASA successfully launched Planet hunting satellite called TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) with aim to scan 85% of skies beyond the solar planets where the life may exist.

7.Most Film Friendly Award 

Madhya Pradesh has been awarded with Most Film Friendly State Award
