1.Earth Day- April 22

• Earth day is observed on April 22 across the world to spread awareness for conservation and to protect environment.
• The 2018 theme of Earth Day is “End Plastic Pollution”.

2.Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan 

• Union Cabinet has given its nod for restructured Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA). 
• RGSA is launched for developing governance capabilities of PAnchayat Raj Institution to deliver on sustainable development goals. 

3.Death Penalty for Rape of Girls under 12

Union Cabinet has given its nod for ordinance allowing Court to provide Death penalty those who convicted for raping girls under age 12.

4.Fugitive economic offenders ordinance 

• Union Cabinet has given its nod for the proposal to promulgate the Fugitive Economic Offenders Ordinance 2018 which helps to prevent the economic offenders from evading the process of Indian law by staying outside the jurisdiction of Indian Courts.
• The total value of 100 crore or more will come under the purview of this bill.
