1.New source of global nitrogen
- Researchers found that the 26 % of Nitrogen present in the ecosystem are sourced from weathering of Earth’s bedrocks and remaining are from atmosphere.
- Earlier it is believed that nitrogen available for plant growth worldwide comes from the atmosphere.
- The discovery helps to improve the climate change projection which is rely understanding the carbon cycle.
- FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India )has launched the project Dhoop to address the deficiency of Vitamin D among the young people.
- To address this incidence it urges the school to shift their morning assembly to noon time mainly between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to ensure maximum absorption of Vitamin D in student’s through Sunlight.
- Sunlight is the natural source of Vitamin D for children.
3.Theatre
Olympics concludes
- The 8th edition of Theatre Olympics and first in India has been concludes in Mumbai.
- The Theme of the theatre Olympics held in India is “Flag of Friendship”.
- The Theatre Olympics established in 1993 at Delphi, Greece, it is an international Theatre festival which brings theatre practitioner’s around the world.
- It is an initiative of Greek theatre director Theodoros Terzopoulos

NASA is all set to launch Humanity’s first flight to Sun Parker Solar Probe in July 2018
5.Ban Ki-moon
- Ban Ki-moon has been elected as Chairman of Boao Forum for Asia.
- Boao forum is a non-profit organisation for Asia that host high level forums for Asian leaders, businessman, and academic people to share their views on important issues of the regions.
- Boao Forum for Asia founded in 2001, headquartered in Beijing China.
