1.IN LCU L54: 

• Indian Navy has commissioned IN LCU L54 in Port blair.
• It is Indian Navy’s 4^th ship of Landing Craft Utility MK-IV class inducted into Indian Navy.
• This ship’s primary role is to transporting and deploying Main Battle Tanks, Armoured Vehicles, troops and equipment from ship to shore.
• This ship can also use in beaching operations, search and rescue, disaster relief operations, evacuation from distant islands.
• This ship based at Andaman and Nicobar Island
