1.Mock Exercise on Bio-Disaster. 

• National Disaster Management Authority(NDMA) jointly with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has conducted its first ever Mock Exercise on Bio-Disasters at Patna airport.
• The exercise held based on suspected Ebola outbreak scenario.

2.National Intellectual Property (IP) Award 2018.

• The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) wins National Intellectual Property (IP) Award 2018 for being top research and development organisation for Patents and commercialization. 

3.2017 Saraswati Samman. 

• Gujarati Poet Sitanshu Yashachandra chosen for 2017 Saraswati Samman for his Collection of poetry titled "Vakhar" .
• Saraswti Samman is an annual award constituted in 1991,
• It provides to recognise outstanding literary work every year written in Indian Language listed in Schedule VIII of the Constitution of India.

4.Asia Pacific Regional Workshop of UNCCD 

• The Asia Pacific Regional Workshop of United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) was held in New Delhi.
• The workshop is to build the capacity of the Asia-Pacific region to monitor and report land degradation.
• UNCCD is the only legally binding international agreement on land issues with aim to protect land from over use and drought.
