1.Prompt corrective
action on Dena Bank
Reserve Bank
of India has initiated prompt
corrective action on Dena Bank due to high non-performing loans and restricting
not to give fresh loan also not to hire any new personnel.
2.Beti Bachao Beti
Padhao (BBBP)Scheme
- Beti Bachao Scheme has been extended to 10 more districts in Tamil Nadu includes Ariyalur, Chennai, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, Perambalur, Salem, Tirvannamalai, Tiruvallur, Tiruchi and Viluppuram
- BBBP is a central Government scheme aims to address the issue of decline in Child Sex Ratio (CSR) through a mass campaign across India.
3.World’s
second oldest rock
- Researchers has discovered World’s 2nd oldest rock Odisha and oldest rock in India.
- The rock contains grain of magmatic zircon which is estimated 4,240 million years old.
4.India, Nepal
bus service under Ramayana Circuit
theme.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off bus Service from Nepal's Janakpur to Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya under Indian Government’s Ramayana Circuit Theme.
- Ramayana circuit is one of the 13 tourism circuit under Swadesh Dharsan Scheme.
- Ramayana Circuit is an effort to promote religious tourism.
- Under Ramayan Circuit 15 destinations are found, Ayodhya, Nandigram, Shringverpur & Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh, Sitamarhi, Buxar & Darbhanga in Bihar, Chitrakoot in Madhya Pradesh, Mahendragiri in Odisha, Jagdalpur in Chattisgarh, Nashik & Nagpur in Maharashtra, Bhadrachalam Telangana, Hampi in Karnataka and Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.
- Under this circuit 15 places will connected like circuit and get major boost in infrastructure, drinking water, accommodation and more.
5.International
Nurse Day – 12 May
- International Nurses Day celebrated across the world on 12th May to mark the contribution done by Nurses to the Society.
- International council of Nurses had chosen 12th may to remember the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
6.Carbon Monitoring project.
United State cancels Carbon
Monitoring project which helps to track the Greenhouse gases like Carbon and
Methane which contribute to global warming.
7.International Shooting Competition
Vinita
Bhardwaj and Mukund Agarwal has won the gold in mixed air rifle in
the International Shooting Competition of Hannover, Germany
