1.Governor’s discretion Power on
appointment of Chief Minister.
Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala has
appointed BJP leader Yeddyurappa as
chief minister of Karnataka even though BJP not crossed the Majority Mark.
Governor’s discretion power:
- Article 164 of Indian Constitution deals with the appointment of Chief Minister by Governor and other ministers appointed on the advice of Chief Minister.
- Governor appoints the leader of the majority party in state legislative as the Chief Minister.
- If there is no majority party in State then by using his discretion power he can appoint the leader of single largest party or coalition party and ask him to seek a vote of confidence in the legislative assembly within a month.
2.“AYUSH” in
English Language
- The word “AYUSH” has been adopted in Hindi and English Language for scientific and technical purpose by the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology.
- AYUSH is an acronym for Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy

Tamizh Association.

limited won the S&P Global PLATTS Global Metals Award 2018 in corporate
social responsibility
category.
