1.Government
may adopt UNCITRAL model.
- Government has released the new draft on cross-border insolvency resolution that allow comprehensive legal framework for insolvency cases involving foreign companies.
- The New Draft Favours India to adopt the globally recognised and well organised cross border insolvency framework called UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Laws).
- This will helps to strengthen the Insolvency and Bankruptcy code of India ,by allowing Indian bank to access foreign assets of a company undergoing resolution and vice versa.
2.United Nations medal for “Selfless
Service”.
Indian Army 7 Garhwal Rifles
Infantry Battalion Group has awarded the United Nations Medal for “Selfless
Service” which was the part of United Nations Peace keeping force in South
Sudan.
3.SKOCH Award.
SKOCH Award has been received by Ministry
of Women & Child Development for the
‘Best Performing Social Sector Ministry’ for its Achievements and Initiatives.
4.AQIS and ISKP Banned
Al Qaeda in
Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and the Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP) has been banned by Central Government under the
anti-terror law, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).
