1.TN growth Rate 8.09 Per cent. 

• Tamil Nadu has achieved the growth rate of 8.09 Per cent in 2017-18.
• In 2016-17 Tamil Nadu recorded 4.3 Per Cent economic growth.

2.Seva Bhoj Yojana. 

Union Government has launched a new scheme called Seva Bhoj Yojana  to seek reimburse Central Share of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and Integrated Goods and Service Tax (IGST) on Food/Prasad/Langar/Bhandara offered by Religious/ Charitable  Institutions, to lessen its financial burden.

3.New Logo and Tagline for GI. 

• Union commerce and Industry minister Suresh Prabhu introduced the logo and tagline for Geographical Indication (GI) to increase awareness about Intellectual property rights in the country.
• Tagline for GI is Invaluable Treasures of Incredible India.
• GI product is primarily an agricultural, natural or manufactured product originating in definite geographical territory.

4.Fields Medal. 

• Akshay Venkatesh (Indian Origin), Caucher Birkar, Alessio Figalli and Peter Scholze won the Field awards.
• Field Award considered as Nobel Prize of Mathematics.

5.Outstanding Parliamentarian Award. 

• President Ram Nath Kovind confers Outstanding Parliamentarian awards to  Members.
• Congress senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, Najma Heptulla , Hukumdev Narayan Yadav, BHartruhari Mahtab, Dinesh Trivedi are the awardees.

6.Gaofen 11 :

 China launches high resolution earth observation satellite on a Long March 4B rocket to monitor Belt and Road Initiatives.
