TN GO:133 Dated 01.12.2021 - Tamil Subject Compulsory
Tamil Nadu Government has released a Government Order (GO) regarding the Inclusion of Tamil Subject in all exams conducted by the recruiting agencies of Tamil Nadu.
Go Content In Short
For all Exams in General
- Tamil Subject is a compulsory Qualifying Paper
- Difficulty level - 10th Std SSLC
- Minimum Qualifying Marks - 40%
- If a candidates gets below 40% in tamil Subject, his/her paper will not be evaluated
For Group 1, Group 2&2A, and other Exams having 2 stages (Prelims and Mains)
- For Group1,2,2A and other 2 stage exams - Tamil compulsory Subject will conducted as descriptive paper.
- Descriptive Tamil - Letter Writing, Translation, Precis Writing, Comprehension, Hints Development.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks - 40%
- If a candidates gets below 40% in tamil Subject, his/her paper will not be evaluated
Note: In this above Group1,2& 2a Exams whether the tamil subject will be included in Prelims is not clear.
For Group 4 and Group 3 Exams
- General Tamil is Compulsory for all candidates, General English option is cancelled for all upcoming recruitment.
- For Group 4 and Group 3 Exams, Tamil Subject is compulsory and score will be taken for ranking purpose also - (Tamil - Eligibility cum Scoring Test)
- Two Paper
- Paper 1 - Tamil - Total Marks - 150, Standard - SSLC - Minimum Qualifying Marks - 40%
- If a candidates gets below 40% in tamil Subject, his/her paper will not be evaluated
- Paper 2 - General Knowledge and Mental Ability - Total Marks - 150
For all Single Stage Exams
